We Are God
Jayasree,
Very inspiring. Your grand father was a very great person, otherwise he would not have been able to achieve all that he did, in such a short period. And, having reached the peak, like Adi SANKARA, he passed away at a young age.
We are all created , generations after generations, from Brahma, who was enjoined to do this by Lord Vishnu.
Book II of Srimad Bhagavatha narrates the sequence of creation, beginning with Rudra, Manu, Satarupa, the Prajapathis etc.
In a sense, each of us is God but, the veil of Maya obstructs us from realising this. We believe and behave like we are puny creatures at the mercy of God and the forces of Nature, and cry for most part of our lives. If we can cut asunder this veil of Maya, we can see our true form of Godliness. This needs intense concentration abilities, rigid discipline in all aspects of live and, above all, a passion to realise the truth. One in a billion is lucky to be able to do this.
Of the denominational Gods, Krishna stands out as a practical entity, takes away our negative complexes and, behaves himself as an ordinary being with faults and failings like any one of us. He tells lies, steals, cheats, kills, romances, dances, sings, just anything that each one of us does or wants to do. Krishna is closest to our mind, and concept of divinity. No wonder, he is the darling among Gods.
May lord Krishna of Karumanassery lead the World away from its numerous problems, and guide the people on right lines.
Appa

Krishna of Karumanassery
My paternal grandfather, Lakshmi & Radhika s great grand father built this KRISHNA temple in KARUMANASSERY village (near VADAKKENCHERRY).He supervised the construction of the temple personally. He used to take my Appa ( then 6 years old) and Muthuswamy Chithappa ( then 4 years old ) in MAATTU VANDI ( oxen cart ) everyday to personally see the construction going on.
His last words were KARUMANASSETY KRISHNA. At age 42 he passed away! My Appa was just 9 years old.
My brother ANAND passed away at age 18 months & he was just a beautiful bundle of joy and far too intelligent & active for his age.
Just 3 days before passing on,he cried & cried and said that he wanted to go to KARUMANASSERY temple.Unbelievable for his age!
I still remember it ! Was my brother an incarnation of my THATHA & was born only to live for 18 months, just to see KARUMANASSRY KRISHNA, as THATHA's last words were KARUMANASSERY KRISHNA!
When I go to Vadakkencherry, I go to KARUMANASSERY and pray in this temple.
It is an old & beautiful temple.
Every year on December 30th, the temple has a THERU festival.
My THATHA built this temple to bring spiritual & economic activity to a sleepy village KARUMANASSERY.
