Honorable Mention for Teaching
Arjun,
What a pleasant news this morning, and what a significant achievement for a beginner !
I remember a small but very significant episode, some twenty years ago, in Vashi, where Patti and I spent a few days holidaying with all of you.
You returned home one evening and, as Amma opened the door, you pushed into her hands your report card where you had very high scores. As Usha was still scanning it, you asked her, subtly, 'Amma could it have been better !' I was pleasantly surprised at your resourcefulness and humour. It is the same Arjun, the Challenger, that I see after twenty years. You will be the same always, challenging situations and performing to perfection. More importantly, it is great that the College and its Faculty is ready to put on record such distinctions of merit and encourage youngsters. It cannot happen in India, at all.
Congratulations and blessings from Patti and me and we are looking forward to greater and greater achievements in your life.
I am sure you will be bringing this to the attention of Ford there, also at Chennai.
Usha, Raju, congratulations for the very fine mentoring. Love
Thatha and Patti
